Att vara volontär på vårt katthem

Är du intresserad av att skaffa ett nytt fritidsintresse? Ett intresse som innebär att du en (eller flera) gånger i veckan kommer till en lokal där det bor ett gäng hemlösa katter som behöver en städad lokal, rena toaletter, fräscht vatten, mat serverad, hakor kliade och små kroppar aktiverade? Har du energi att göra grovjobbet med sopkvasten och skurmoppen där lönen för arbetet är att få umgås med katter under tiden? Vill du träffa andra likasinnade som värnar för de oönskade katterna, och vill göra en insats för att dessa djur i nöd ska ha ett bra ställe att mellanlanda innan de förhoppningsvis snart flyttar till ett nytt hem? Om detta passar in på dig, och du är villig att göra jobbet helt ideellt, kanske du är en av våra framtida volontärer! Vi bjuder löpande in nya volontärer, men intresset är stort och tyvärr har vi inte kapacitet att bjuda in alla. Det är just nu bara aktuellt att bjuda in volontärer som kan stanna långsiktigt (mer än sex månader).
Hos oss är alla volontärer och arbetar alltsÃ¥ gratis pÃ¥ sin fritid. Vi volontärer sköter katthemmet, det finns inga andra utöver oss som gör jobbet – vi tar hand om bÃ¥de lokalen och katterna som bor där. Därför behöver vi vara mÃ¥nga djurvänner som ger av sin tid och energi och tillsammans bemannar katthemmet, vilket vi gör tvÃ¥ pass om dagen, alla dagar om Ã¥ret – även julafton och midsommar. Tiderna för vÃ¥ra arbetspass är kl 10-14 och kl 18-21. Vi söker prestigelösa personer som vill bidra till helheten för att fÃ¥ katthemmet att fungera, personer som ställer upp för varandra och tar ett extra pass när nÃ¥gon plötsligt blir sjuk och mÃ¥ste ställa in. Vi volontärarbetar för en god sak, för katternas skull och för att vi behövs.

 Volunteering at our shelter – info in English

Are you interested in acquiring a new hobby? An interest that involves coming to a shelter once (or several times) a week where a group of homeless cats resides, in need of a clean space, tidy litter boxes, fresh water, food being served, chins scratched, and their little bodies activated? Do you have the energy to do the heavy work with a broom and a mop, where the reward is to spend time with cats? Do you want to meet other like-minded people who also care for the unwanted cats and want to make an effort to give these animals in need a good place to stay before hopefully moving to a new home? If this sounds good to you and you’re willing to help out on a volunteer basis, you might be the perfect fit for us! We invite new volunteers on a regular basis, but there are many people interested in joining the shelter, and unfortunately, we don’t have the capacity to invite everyone. We are currently only looking for people who can volunteer long-term (more than six months).
At our shelter, we are all volunteers, working for free in our spare time. We take care of the cat shelter; there are no others besides us doing this job – we take care of both the premises and the cats that live there. Therefore, we need to be several animal lovers who generously give their time and energy to staff the cat shelter. We have two shifts a day, every day of the year – even on Christmas Eve and Midsummer. The shifts are 10 am – 2 pm, and 6 pm to 9 pm, every day. We are looking for prestigeless individuals who want to contribute to the overall operation of the cat shelter, people who support each other and will take an extra shift if someone suddenly falls ill and has to cancel their shift. We volunteer for a good cause, for the sake of the cats and because we are needed.
